Instructor Subjects [4017]

 

 

 

Module Description

Instructor Subjects module allows you to assign instructors to the subjects they teach during the specified date range. The purpose of assigning instructor subjects is to enter academic postings (attendance and grades) by Instructor under Trx 4035-4039 and view Registrar Reports by Instructors.

 

IMPORTANT Things to Remember:

Never delete a subject already assigned to an instructor! Academic Postings may already be posted to student records for that subject and teacher. Rather than deleting a subject from an instructor, simply enter an END date and the subject will no longer appear under Academic Postings.

 

Instructors are first entered under Trx 1041 Employees, and flagged as an instructor before appearing here. To remove an instructor from this list, go back to Trx 1041 and enter an employment end date.

Show

Select Active to display the list of Active instructors under the “Instructor” dropdown. Inactive will display the instructors who are no longer active under Trx 1041 employee profile.

Instructor

Listing of either Active or Inactive Instructors based from their employee profile under trx 1041

Key

Refers to the number sequentially assigned for each entry

Subject Taught

Select the Subjects taught by the selected Instructor. Ensure the correct Subject key# is assigned as there may be multiple subjects with the same name.

Lic. Req

Yes- indicates the instructor must have the license required by the State Agency to teach the subject. No- indicates the instructor doesn’t need a license by the State Agency to teach the subject

Start Date

The date the instructor started teaching the subject

End Date

The date the instructor stopped teaching the subject.

 

 

Tip: You can print a listing of all employees flagged as an Instructor under Trx 1041 here by clicking the “Print all Instructor” button. Also, the Add/Remove Multiple Subjects link is available at the bottom rather than adding single subjects.
