Grading Groups

Module Description

This module allows you to create Grading Groups and assign subjects, exams and assignments as “members” to each group. Grading Groups are similar to a “Grade Book” feature that result in a Final Grade/GPA calculated based on the defined Groups and their grade weight. Grading Groups are displayed on the Academic Reports such as Progress Reports and Transcripts.

Field	Description
Key	Refers to the number sequentially assigned for each entry
Grading Group Name	Name of Grading Group
Course	Select the Course assigned to the Grading Group
Subject	Select a Subject if the Grading Group, assignments etc. will be specific to that subject
Is Subject Correspond to Subject Completion	Leave blank- field is not applicable
Use % required	No- field is not applicable
Weight of Grade	Refers to weight the grade will have in overall grade/GPA. If all members of grading group will be weighted equally then enter 1 for all. Enter 0 for a group for which you want a grade, but which you don’t want included in the overall cumulative grade. Ex. consecutive subjects that are already in lateral groups.

Required	Yes- if grade is required for this group member before overall GPA is calculated
Grade Weight	Refers to weight the grade will have in overall grade/GPA. If all members of grading group will be weighted equally then enter 1 for all. Enter 0 for a group for which you want a grade, but which you don’t want included in the overall cumulative grade. Ex. consecutive subjects that are already in lateral groups.
