Module Description

Academic Postings by Student enables you to post various academic postings (attendance and grades) by a particular student. The kinds of Academic postings listed here are first defined under “Kinds of Detailed Postings” module.

Refers to the number sequentially assigned for each student upon saving the Student Profile

SS#

Refers to the Social Security Number manually entered in the Student Profile

Last Name

Refers to the Last name entered for the student under the Student Profile

First Name

 

Refers to the First name entered for the student under the Student Profile

M.I.

Refers to the middle initial entered for the student under the Student Profile

Card No.

Refers to the Card No. manually entered under the Student Profile

Enrolled In

Displays the Program of enrollment assigned to each student under Non Term or Term Enrollment modules

Start Date

Displays the student’s start date assigned under Enrollment module

End Date (O), (R), (M)

(O) Refers to the Student’s Original Projected End Date (R) refers to the revised End Date, (M) Refers to the Manual End date entered under Enrollment modules.   All end dates combine campus-level information about days open or holidays or vacations with student data. Original expected end is the end date calculated based on the student's weekly schedule as entered at the time of enrollment or flagged as "Included in Enrollment Contract". Scheduled end modifies the original expected end for the effects of any weekly schedules not flagged as in the original contract and any leaves of absence. Revised end modifies scheduled end for the effects of any posted actual attendance data. Manual end is a date posted by a user.

Kind of Transaction

Select the Type of Academic Posting. Screen will load options based on selection. Type of Transactions here will display based on Kinds Of Detailed Postings Trx 4024.

 

 

Academic Posting Options:

The Types of Transactions available in TRX 4035 are customized depending on your institution’s tracking of academic records. Following are the various academic postings available:

1.Daily Attendance: Total daily hours are posted. Attendance in NOT being posted to particular Subjects.                     

          

2.Daily Attendance by Subject: Hours are posted by Subject and Instructor (optional). The Types are broken up by Lecture subject, Lab/Clinical subject, Externship subject or a Combination Subject.

 

 

 

3.Weekly Attendance: Weekly Totals are posted. Weekly Attendance can be tracked by subjects but it isn’t required.

 

4.Monthly Attendance: Monthly Totals are posted. Monthly Attendance can be tracked by subjects but it isn’t required.

 

5.Class Attendance - Lecture/Clinical: Daily attendance is entered for a subject but the hours completed can be broken up between lecture and lab.

 

6.Total Make up Hours:

          

 

7.Field Trip Hours:

          

 

 

8.Cumulative Hours/Units: Schools may choose to track attendance by entering random cumulative attendance totals. Note that once attendance is posted using another option, it can no longer be posted under cumulative.

10.Time In/Time Out: This method of tracking attendance is the Time Clock method. Student’s punch in/out on a web based RGM time clock which is automatically/immediately uploaded into the RGM system. Note: Students must have access to a computer with internet to access the RGM time clock system.

 

11.Cosmetology: This method of academic posting is utilized by most Cosmetology Schools. A code number (seen below) represents the type of transaction (attendance, operations, exams, etc.)

 

 

12.Operations: The quantity of Operations is posted here by subject.

 

13.Course/Subject Completion: This method is used to assign a Final Grade to a Subject. If utilized, Subjects, Final grade and GPA appear on the Progress Report and Academic Transcript.

 

14.Examination: This method is used to assign a Grade to an Exam. Exams may or may not be tied to a Subject. Instructors may or may not be tied to the Exam. If utilized, the Exams and Exam grades will appear on the Progress Report and Academic Transcript (for clock hour schools).

 

15.Assignment: This method is used to assign a Grade to an Assignment. Assignments may or may not be tied to a Subject. Instructors may or may not be tied to the Assignment. If utilized, the Assignments and grades will appear on the Progress Report and Academic Transcript (for clock hour schools).
